Statistical surveys are done to collect quantitative and qualitative information about the specific characteristic we wanted to study in a population. Here population implies the whole universe. In marketing research political polling and government, health and social science Surveys of human populations and institutions are most common. Statistical survey focuses on opinions or true information depending on its purpose, and many surveys involve administering questions to individuals. When the survey questions are administered by a researcher, the survey is referred to as structured interview or a researcher-administered survey. When the survey questions are administered by the respondent, the survey is known as a self-administered survey.
